[It had been a while since Nina and Oswin had seen each other, but they never really lost contact with each other. Time passed and Oswin traveled while Nina stayed tied down to the same planet she always had been, at least until a very unusual urge came over her.
She was going to be spontaneous. She was going to stowaway on a starliner and find Oswin.
It was a ridiculous plan, and she was sure she was going to get caught, but somehow, it never happened. Oswin had been delighted to see her (of course, though Nina had worried all the same), but before they'd really had time to catch up with each other and reminisce of old times, all the emergency warnings went off.
Dragged onto a shuttle with Oswin, Nina was absolutely terrified. And after they crashed, it all went dark.
Now it was happening again, though there wasn't much left of Nina anymore. A year on this planet, and her consciousness had been trapped in a dalek, left to rot for eternity. When the Asylum began to burn, she didn't even care.
Her body lies motionless on the cold floor, pink hair a curtain across her face. Her breathing is slow, her face pale. It's Nina, but it isn't.]

Date: 2013-09-04 01:13 am (UTC)Things never go quite the way you want them to, but that's okay.
[She sinks to her knees, bringing Oswin down with her.]
Let me see your hands.

Date: 2013-09-04 01:16 am (UTC)They're covered in small, minor electrical burns from where the wires sparked at her skin. She winces faintly at the sight, wondering where and how they're going to get them treated.]

Date: 2013-09-04 01:28 am (UTC)I don't think we're supposed to bandage it for a few days, but I'm no expert.
[Nina glances around, but there's nothing she can see for miles.]
We need to find a doctor who can treat your burns...Come on.

Date: 2013-09-04 01:37 am (UTC)D'you think there's one around? [Hopefully, or at least people in general, someone who can help them.
Oswin doesn't dare allow herself to hope that another Doctor might be somewhere nearby.]

Date: 2013-09-04 01:45 am (UTC)[She sighs and presses her forehead lightly to Oswin's.]
We'll find a place. You saved me, now it's my turn.

Date: 2013-09-04 01:53 am (UTC)Let's go.
[She pulls Oswin to her feet.]

Date: 2013-09-04 02:26 am (UTC)Better find something quick. [She looks to the darkening sky.] S'going to be dark soon, looks like.

Date: 2013-09-04 02:28 am (UTC)We need a place to stay for the night, at least.

Date: 2013-09-04 03:03 am (UTC)[Hopefully. Despite the pain, Oswin slips her hand into Nina's, giving it as tight a squeeze as she can manage.]

Date: 2013-09-04 03:08 am (UTC)This'll have to do...
[It's not too bad, actually. It's occupied by a single cow and lots of hay, so Nina picks one of the stalls and promptly collapses onto the hay with a soft groan.]
no subject
Date: 2013-09-04 03:28 am (UTC)...what happened to you? [Her voice is soft and somewhat reluctant. If Nina went through anything like she did...]

Date: 2013-09-04 03:31 am (UTC)I...I don't really want to talk about it right now.

Date: 2013-09-04 03:34 am (UTC)…S'over now, at least. [Even if it doesn't feel that way.]

Date: 2013-09-04 03:37 am (UTC)You too, huh?
no subject
Date: 2013-09-04 03:40 am (UTC)[She breathes it out softly, closing her eyes.] Didn't even know it'd happened 'til...I got told. [A shiver passes up her spine, and Oswin curls up a little tighter, still unwilling to think about that moment when her world had shattered.]

Date: 2013-09-04 03:42 am (UTC)But we're together now.

Date: 2013-09-04 03:50 am (UTC)[She relaxes under Nina's touch, though, sighing and letting out a small yawn.] Mm. Let's keep it that way this time, yeah?

Date: 2013-09-04 03:54 am (UTC)no subject
Date: 2013-09-04 03:57 am (UTC)[It feels so nice, having someone being this affectionate towards her. Oswin lets out another sigh, this one more content than the last and settles into Nina's embrace a little more, content to be lulled to sleep by the feeling of her fingers in her hair.]

Date: 2013-09-04 03:59 am (UTC)She'll be here through all the nightmares that will surely come, but hopefully for tonight, they can both catch up on some sleep.]

Date: 2013-09-04 04:04 am (UTC)[It comes out as a sleepy murmur, and Oswin drops right off. No nightmares tonight, thankfully, she's too exhausted to do anything but sleep soundly and dreamlessly.]

Date: 2013-09-04 04:07 am (UTC)In the morning, Nina's woken by a farmer prodding her with a pitchfork. She yelps, the farmer having picked a slightly burned patch of skin, and jerks awake.]
Watch it!

Date: 2013-09-04 04:11 am (UTC)G'back to sleep, Nina… [She mumbles, entirely unaware of her surroundings.]

Date: 2013-09-04 04:17 am (UTC)Listen, we...we were tired. She's hurt. We needed a place to stay and it seemed like it was the only place for miles...Sorry.
